Moving Your Pet from Russia to the United Kingdom
Your pet is part of your family and as such great care must be taken to ensure a comfortable movement from Russia to the UK. We understand this and can assure you that your pet is as important to us as it is to you.
As agents for Aeroflot in the UK we are responsible to take great care in organising your pet’s passage through customs and obtaining the necessary health checks.
On arrival to London Heathrow a representative from the Animal Reception Centre (ARC) will be waiting airside to meet your pet and transfer them to the ARC, a journey of approx. 5 minutes. On arrival a general health check will be made to ensure you pet has travelled comfortably. Then the documentation process begins to ensure all the relevant certificates are in place. Once this is complete an electronic entry is made to customs to obtain customs clearance. The entire process from landing to pet availabilty is approx. 4-5 hours.
Most pets arrive to Heathrow on the SU241 which arrives at 12:15 meaning your pet will be ready for collection at around 16:30. If it is difficult to be at Heathrow to collect your pet we can arrange onward transport to any UK destination.
The documents you must have in place prior to moving your pet is as follows:
- Microchip certificate
- Vaccination record (up to date)
- Official Veterinary Certificate (dated after the above and no younger than 21 days)
- Ticks & Tapeworms stamp (no earlier tha 24 hours before check in and no later than 5 days)
